vacation part one

It all started on a dark and cold night in Oregon...
We had a red eye flight from Portland to Florida (with a stop in Texas). We decided to keep the kids up until the airport. Audrey stayed awake until the plane. jack lasted until 11pm.
Both kids were troopers and slept most of the first flight. In texas we hoped on a standby flight so we could get to florida sooner. Unfortunately, our baggage decided to enjoy some wet Texas weather. This left us in Florida Saturday morning with no new clothes. A quick trip to the local walmart and we were outfitted for the day. Or clothes arrived at midnight that night.

The Webster family family arrived after bedtime on Saturday so we had a whole day to explore the house on our own. The next day (sunday) we went to the polo yard across the road from the grandparents house. Polo was suprisingly fun. You can park you car practically on the field. Some parrotheads (jimmy buffet fans) were serving up free margaritas. It was one big party.

the kids also got a pony ride.

The trip has been flying by.We have been in the pool most days. We have been to the beach twice already and had some boat rides in grandads boat and some fishing as well.

Not to forget other important items. Jack passed the one mark. In the last 2 weeks he has developed into a proficient walker and eater. We celebrated his birthday a day early. I baked a tres leches cake and Sarah decorated it. Jack was a little slow to start but then we gave him a fork and he started getting more enthusiastic. Her ate it all up.

the weather has been great and everyone is having a good time, see you all soon

happy holidays

Rob

You sent the pictures of the blue sky just to be mean, didn't ya? It's been chilly, wet and dark for days now, a bit of sunshine would be swell.
Glad you're having a good time, you are missed.

Greetings Thompson Clan.
Sounds like you guys are having a glorious time. Great pics. I want that little horse guy that Audrey is sitting on. He would work real well in the Goomee.
Merry Christmas.
